If you’re new to yoga and feeling a little unsure, we completely understand. We’ve all been there! Here is some information and frequently asked questions to make you feel more at ease. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions. We are here for you!
- Bliss offers a fun, relaxed, all welcoming environment for anyone who is looking to explore the benefits of yoga. Our supportive, knowledgeable, and nurturing teachers and front desk associates will help you get acquainted with the space, and ready for your first class.
- Doors open 20 minutes before class. Please give yourself time to get comfortable on your mat.
- Dress comfortably — If you are taking a class in our Luna room, depending on the class, wear something you feel comfortable moving in or if you are taking our gentler classes wear something you'll feel comfortable and maybe cozy in. I like to feel cozy in my gentler classes. If you are taking a class in our Sol room, wear something you will feel comfortable moving and sweating in. Examples: Board shorts, yoga pants, or yoga capris/shorts and tank tops or sports bras that all fit comfortably.
- Be mindful of wearing strong smelling fragrances into the yoga room.
- No shoes in the yoga room (most people don't wear socks, they can be slippery on your mat).
- There are 3 rows of teal floor markings in each yoga room. Place the right hand corner of your yoga mat directly on the teal floor marking to have appropriate spacing for all students.
- Sol room if you feel like you might need to use the wall for balance, place your mat in the back row to be able to use the wall. The front mirrors should not be used for balancing or to place your hands or feet on. We do not have mirrors in our Luna room.
- Sol and Luna room bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Sol room bring a large towel for the Warm 26 and Hot 26 classes (other classes a towel is optional). All these items are available for purchase at the studio.
- To ensure everyone gets the most out of their yoga class, save conversations for outside of the yoga rooms. We have a beautiful lobby and sitting area to relax and share in some great conversations.
- No cell phones are to be brought into the yoga room and no use of electronic devices during class. This is our time to truly disconnect. We do not want to use electronic devices in the room that will be a distraction to ourselves and others around us.
- Drink water throughout the day to ensure proper hydration. Water is important for all classes but especially important if you’re practicing in heated classes. Hydration throughout the day will make the heat more comfortable, especially as your body is adjusting to practicing in a heated class.
- Try not to eat a big meal before your practice.
- Be positive, listen to your body, and be ready to get your bliss on!
