If you’re new to yoga and feeling a little unsure, we completely understand. We’ve all been there! Here is some information and frequently asked questions to make you feel more at ease.  Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions.  We are here for you!

  • Bliss offers a fun, relaxed, all welcoming environment where people of all shapes, sizes, and abilities are welcome. Our supportive, knowledgeable, and nurturing teachers will help you get acquainted with the space, and ready for your first class.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete your new student paperwork and become acquainted with the studio.
  • Doors open 30 minutes before class and are locked 3 minutes prior to class beginning. Please give yourself plenty of time to get comfortable on your mat.
  • Dress comfortably — wear something you will feel comfortable moving and sweating in (especially if you’re practicing in heated classes).  Examples: Board shorts, yoga pants, or yoga capris/shorts and tank tops or sports bras that all fit comfortably.  Be mindful of wearing strong smelling perfumes/fragrances.
  • Bring a large towel for the Warm 26 and  Hot 26 classes (other classes a towel is optional), yoga mat, and water bottle. These items are available for purchase at the studio.
  • To ensure everyone gets the most out of their yoga class, please save conversations for the lobby and changing rooms. This gives everyone the chance to meditate or relax in our soothing yoga room.
  • Drink water throughout the day to ensure proper hydration. Water is important for all classes but especially important if you’re practicing in heated classes. Hydration throughout the day will make the heat more comfortable, especially as your body is adjusting to a heated space.
  • Try not to eat a big meal before your practice.
  • Be positive, listen to your body, and be ready to get your bliss on!
